No Secret Anymore

(Joan Biren, 2003)

No Secret Anymore chronicles the lives of two women who have been partners in love and political struggle for half a century. San Francisco icons, Del Martin and Phylllis Lyon are known as pioneers in the modern lesbian civil rights movement. The film is accompanied by archival footage of Martin and Lyon from the Schlesinger’s collections.

Guest speaker: Professor Robin Bernstein, Associate Professor of African and African American Studies and of Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Harvard University
