English Renaissance Literature, History of Early Modern Political Thought, and Political Philosophy

The project is an academic monograph, split among the analysis of literary texts, the intellectual history of political thought, and theoretical discussion of political ideas. The book is a study of the history of the corporation as an idea and an institution, and especially as a type of political group. It covers the period 1500–1700 in England. 

I would like a research partner who is familiar with this period and/or would like to learn more about it. He or she would be responsible for compiling research bibliographies on subtopics, obtaining printed and electronic materials, and acting as the occasional sounding board as I try out ideas. The student would get to learn about the topic and advanced research skills in literature, history, and theory.
