The Enigma Machine, 2012–2013

This project by Rochelle Feinstein, esteemed painter and printmaker, begins with demotic speech and how meaning can be deciphered and translated into visual practice. Feinstein is seeking a research partner who is interested in a range of studio practices that vary from color mixing, preliminary preparations of grounds, and mediums to the ongoing relationship of digital technology in its many guises. The materials and media will be defined as the work develops. A student interested in the process of object making would be most welcome.
