Girls Rock!

(Shane King and Arne Johnson, 2007)

The Rock'n'Roll Camp for Girls is a place where 8- to 18-year-old girls come from all over the country to learn rock DIY-style—forming bands, writing songs, and building community. Girls Rock! is the movie about their journey.

Featuring guest speakers Nora Allen-Wiles and Hilken Mancini of Girls Rock Campaign Boston.

The theme of this year's film series at the Schlesinger Library is "Ages of Women." Films are shown in the Library's Radcliffe College Room the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. and, when possible, are followed by a discussion session. Admission is free and open to the public. Please note that there is no screening in January.
