Tokyo’s Shinjuku district is home to many “hostess” and “host” clubs, where customers pay for drinks and conversation with flirtatious staff members. The New Marilyn Club features hosts who dress and live as men, and who cater to almost exclusively female heterosexual clientele. Shinjuku Boys follows Tatsu, Gaish, and Kazuki in their jobs as hosts and addresses themes of sexuality, gender, and relationships. 53 min.
