Lecture by Tania Bruguera RI '17

During her fellowship at Radcliffe, Tania Bruguera is continuing to develop the Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt (INSTAR). Located in Havana, Cuba, the institute will be a hub for civic literacy in Cuba. Working with cubanos de a pie (everyday Cubans)—from housewives to professionals, from activists to students—INSTAR will work with the people who will be building democracy in Cuba every day, those asking for their rights and fighting for social justice in their schools and their jobs, thus transforming its audience into active citizens.

Free and open to the public.
