Brian Greene, Professor of Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University, focuses on unified theories of physics and is the author of several books on the subject, including The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos.
One hundred years ago, Albert Einstein revolutionized our understanding of space and time, elevating them to dynamic participants in the evolution of the cosmos. Research in our era has pushed this revolution far further, suggesting that there may be additional dimensions of space and possibly even other universes. In this talk, which presumes no background in the subject, we will explore these ideas visually as we delve into the changing conceptions of space, time, and reality.
