New Tetrarchic Reliefs from Nikomedia: Uncovering the Colorful Life of Diocletian’s Lost Capital

Archaeology/Art History/Classics/Architecture

During this project a new archaeological discovery of a Roman imperial complex in ancient Nikomedia will be prepared for publication. The student will help in library research, organizing/editing the project’s digital library, and reading and proofreading the manuscript of the book. Interest in the ancient Roman world and fluency in German are important assets.

The student will not only develop her or his academic writing skills but will learn in detail about a new archaeological discovery from the ancient city of Nikomedia. As part of the project, she or he will help introduce a unique Roman complex to the world's cultural heritage for the first time.
