Prison Studies Project (2019–2020)
The student will partner to support the ongoing work of the Prison Studies Project's National Directory of Higher Education Programs in Prison. Please see this link for more information. In addition to maintaining and expanding the directory, the student will collaborate in open-sourcing the data, linking it to the National Alliance for Prison Education, and creating a short multi-media project that outlines the history of the Prison Studies Project.
Tasks include research, community engagement, and creating a short multi-media project. Skills needed: self-motivation with attention to detail; a mature sensitivity to working with people of diverse identities and backgrounds; some experience with project management; excellent writing and communication skills; proven experience in Avid, Final Cut, Adobe Spark or any other production software; familiarity with content management systems and social media; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Interest in prison education is preferable.
A partnership with the student will be mutually beneficial for our ongoing, interdisciplinary, and collaborative work.
