Claudia Rizzini is Radcliffe’s executive director of the Fellowship Program. She provides intellectual and administrative leadership to Radcliffe’s highly regarded residential fellowship program, which welcomes 50 leading scholars, scientists, and artists each year to pursue pathbreaking research and creative work in a uniquely vibrant interdisciplinary community.
Rizzini started her career at Cambridge University Hospitals, in the United Kingdom, where she set up and managed the research and development department. She joined Harvard University as program director of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, where she expanded the research portfolio and fostered a diverse, collaborative community of stem cell scientists. More recently, she was managing director for precision medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston.
Rizzini earned a first degree in biological sciences from the University of Parma and a PhD in neuroscience at the University of Brescia, both in Italy. She also holds a master’s degree in international healthcare management, economics, and policy from Università Bocconi, in Milan, Italy.
