Pardiss Kebriaei is a senior attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights, where she has worked since 2007 representing men detained at the US military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and other victims of US torture, detention, and killing programs over the course of the “war on terror” since 9/11.

At Radcliffe, Kebriaei is working on a project examining the role of the federal courts in shaping post-9/11 government policy.

Kebriaei has written about the issues of her work for publications including the Guardian, Harper’s Magazine, the Nation, Rolling Stone, Yale Law & Policy Review, and anthologies published by New York University and the University of Chicago. Her writing has been supported by residencies from the Lannan Foundation, Millay Arts, PLAYA, Willapa Bay AiR, and Yaddo. In 2020, she was a finalist in nonfiction literature for the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship program. She received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a bachelor in music from Northwestern University.
