This information is accurate as of the fellowship year indicated for each fellow.

Re'em Sari is a professor of astrophysics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research uses physical and mathematical models to describe the universe around us, from the explosions of stars to the formation of planets.

During the Radcliffe fellowship, Sari is studying systems with transiting exoplanets. He is exploring the possibility of using accurate timing of planetary transits to infer the masses and orbits of other bodies in the system.

Sari has won numerous awards, including the François Frenkiel Award for Fluid Mechanics from the American Physical Society, the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Helen B. Warner Prize for Astronomy from the American Astronomical Society, and the Michael Bruno Memorial Award from Yad Hanadiv. He is the recipient of a prestigious European Research Council starting grant and a member of the Israel Young Academy. Sari earned a PhD in astrophysics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
