The Schlesinger Library book collections on the history of women in America include approximately 100,000 volumes, ranging from rare 16th-century texts to 21st-century titles. Historical materials include 19th century etiquette and advice books, women’s rights pamphlets, literature on health and sexuality, work and family life, feminism, and the culinary arts. Contemporary titles span diverse genres from academic texts to graphic novels, zines, romances, memoirs, and LGBTQ fiction.
