The New Economy

A presentation from 2022–2023 Beatrice Shepherd Blane Fellow Gabrielle Calvocoressi

Gabrielle Calvocoressi will read from their poetry collection in progress, "The New Economy," and think into what it means to spend a lifetime building the imaginative and imagined vessel of the body and how that forms and subverts the vessel of the poem. 

Calvocoressi is a poet, editor, essayist, and professor. At Radcliffe, Calvocoressi plans to write a fourth book of poems alongside a series of essays/introspections about how working with the lyric poem could help process the surprise, confusion, and terror of entering perimenopause in a nongendered body.
