Although we are excited to have our fellows back on campus and working in Byerly Hall, Harvard Radcliffe Institute programs remain primarily virtual as we continue to monitor the coronavirus pandemic. See Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information and Updates.

Harvard Radcliffe Institute has been monitoring the coronavirus pandemic since we closed our campus to the public in March 2020. Radcliffe Institute activities will continue to be primarily virtual through the end of the 2021–2022 academic year.

Our work has continued unabated but has been reimagined to safeguard the health and well-being of our community. Join us online for public events, explore our digital exhibitions, and read the latest news from the Institute.

The Schlesinger Library will reopen, by appointment, to Harvard students, faculty, and staff on Monday, January 24. Appointments will be available Monday–Friday from 10AM to 4PM. If you are interested in making an appointment or have any questions, please contact us via Ask A Librarian. The Library plans to open to visiting, vaccinated, and boosted researchers by appointment on Monday, February 28. Upon entrance to the building, all visitors—Harvard University ID (HUID) and non-HUID holders—must provide proof of vaccination and verbal attestation that they are symptom free and have not been diagnosed or exposed to COVID-19 in the previous 5 days. High quality and well-fitting masks must be worn indoors for the duration of your stay.
