Join us for our continuing series of Virtual Radcliffe Book Talks exploring recent publications whose subjects or authors have a connection with Harvard Radcliffe Institute.

The final installment of our 2023 summer series will feature Katherine Turk RI ’19, author of The Women of NOW: How Feminists Built an Organization that Transformed America (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2023). Turk is an associate professor in the Department of History and adjunct associate professor of women’s and gender studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. An award-winning scholar of modern America, Turk’s work explores histories of women, gender, and sexuality, as well as law, labor, and social movements.

Turk’s reading will be followed by a discussion with Durba Mitra RI ‘19, Richard B. Wolf Associate Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

The event will also include an audience Q and A.
