Abigail DeVille is an independent artist living in New York.

While at Radcliffe, DeVille will be researching the 18th-century idea of dark stars and the rejection of black holes.

DeVille attended Pratt Institute and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and earned a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology and an MFA from Yale University. In addition to the Radcliffe fellowship, she has attended residencies at the International Studio & Curatorial Program, in Brooklyn, and the Studio Museum in Harlem. Her awards include grants from the Edward and Sally Van Lier Fund of the New York Community Trust and the Joan Mitchell Foundation, among others.
