Patricio A. Fernandez is a PhD candidate in philosophy and economics at Harvard University. His research interests include the theory of action, ethics, ancient philosophy, and foundational issues at the intersection of economics and philosophy.

During his fellowship year, he plans to complete his dissertation in philosophy, which explores the nature of practical reasoning, its conclusion, and its connection with action.

Fernandez, who holds an AM in economics from Harvard, has received fellowships from the Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics, the Project on Justice, Welfare, and Economics, and the Institute for Humane Studies.
