Reproductions for Research Use

Digital Photography

Readers who use the Carol K. Pforzheimer Reading Room are strongly encouraged to do their own digital photography of library material for research purposes. Readers may take reference photos in accordance with the Library's Reading Room Digital Imaging Policy. No tripods or portable scanners requiring contact with materials are allowed.  

Scanning Services

The Library offers scanning services to remote researchers and those who cannot visit in person. Please see detailed information in our  Requesting Copies Guide

Onsite readers using microfilm may scan at no charge.

Reproductions for Publication Use

High-resolution scans for publication can be ordered. Please see our instructions for ordering scanned images for publication. If you want to order scans for research purposes, please see our Requesting Copies Guide.
