Join us for our continuing series of Virtual Radcliffe Book Talks exploring recent publications whose subjects or authors have a connection with Harvard Radcliffe Institute.

The second installment in our summer series will feature Miguel Syjuco RI ’14, author of I Was the President’s Mistress!! (‎Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2022). Syjuco is an author, a journalist, a civil society advocate, and an assistant professor of practice, literature, and creative writing at New York University Abu Dhabi. His first novel, Ilustrado (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2010), won the 2008 Man Asian Literary Prize.

Syjuco’s reading will be followed by a discussion with Sheila Coronel, Toni Stabile Professor of Professional Practice in Investigative Journalism and director of the Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism at Columbia Journalism School.

The event will also include an audience Q and A.
